Hello. Sorry it has been so long since the last news item. I've sort of locked myself away working on the new album. I am happy to say that all of the instrument tracks have been recorded and I will soon begin recording the vocal tracks.

As I've mentioned before, the new album is a bit more upbeat than "If The Heavens Should Fall", though it still has quieter moments like the albums before.

I want to say thank you again to everyone who has taken the time to write, both here and on myspace. I am very thankful for the kind words and support you have given me throughout the years.

There is a new interview up at www.virus-mag.com. ACoT talks with Tracy Taylor of Virus Magazine about the past, present and future, as well as the progress of the new album.

Hello. I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know about some of the updates on the site.

I know it's been quite a while since any new photos were added to the site, so there are now four new photos in the Photos section. I hope you enjoy them.

An RSS section has also been added to the site. You will see RSS icons around the site. Click on these and you will be taken to an RSS page where you can sign up to get A.C.O.T. news in your RSS reader.

Aside from the site upgrades, recording for the new album has been going very well. The music tracks for about half of the album have been recorded. Along with those, I have been working on putting the last touches on the lyrics and doing some last minute arranging on the remaining unrecorded songs.

Thank you to everyone for the words of encouragement and the interest in the new album. I really appreciate it.

Hello. It's been a while so I wanted to write a quick note to let you know what's been going on.

As many of you know, A Covenant of Thorns is back in the studio, working on a third album. I am pleased to say that things are coming along nicely. All of the songs and lyrics have been written and I am in the process of working on the last handful of arrangements. I have also begun recording the individual tracks.

I really appreciate all of the messages and encouragement I have been receiving. It really means a lot to me.

I will be updating the site when I can to try and get some more current information up as well.

Hello. First off; A Covenant of Thorns can now be heard on HazMat Radio. HazMat Radio plays some of my favorite music and I am honored to be a part of things.

Next, thanks to everyone for the emails and messages about the new album. Although still in the early stages, things are coming along nicely. At the moment, I am working on a few of the drum parts and in general getting things tightened up a bit. More later. Thanks for listening.

Hello. Many of you have been asking how the new album is going, so I just wanted to write, quickly, and give you an update. All of the music and lyrics have been written for the album. I am, currently, working on the arrangements of the songs. Once I am through with that, I will begin recording.

So far, the album is somewhat of a cross between the two previous ones. It is a bit more upbeat than the last and most of the sounds are new, but it still retains a bit of the feel of the other two. I will write more when I get further into it. Thanks again to everyone.

Hello. Sorry, it's been a while, but hopefully with this news, it will have been worth the wait.

Two big things to talk about: First, "If The Heavens Should Fall" is now available in the iTunes store. I am going to try to find the time to get "Hallowed & Hollow" up as well, but that may take a while considering the second piece of news.

I have begun work on the third album. A release date is still a ways off, but it is in the works.

P.S. The Email Sign-up is back up and running again.

Hello. You may notice a few things changing on acovenantofthorns.com in the next few days/weeks. We just switched over to a new server that will allow us to do new and better things with the site. You may see downtime for some of the sections, such as email signup and guestbook, but this will only be temporary. while the new pages are being coded. If you have signed up for the A Covenant of Thorns email, don't worry, your signup will not be lost.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for the support for "If The Heavens Should Fall". It has really made me feel good, the way it has been received.

Hello. In March, A Covenant of Thorns was asked to be a part of a compilation for the Dark Horizons radio show. I gladly accepted and am honored to be a part of "Angelic Hauntings" along with some truly amazing artists. I have updated the discography section to include the compilation.

Hi. This is the part where I apologize for not writing for so long. I wanted to make sure things were a little more concrete before writing more.

It has taken a while, but the new CD is mixed and mastered. Gord from Dream Disciples mixed and mastered it. He did a really great job and I am very happy with it.

The new CD will be titled "If The Heavens Should Fall". I will be getting the masters back within the next few weeks and after that, it will be sent off to be pressed. In the mean time, I will be putting up a few tracks in the Audio section under Multimedia of this site, as well as on Darkcell Digital Music. Check back here soon for details (I promise I'll write) or sign up for the Email Sign-up and you will be the first to know when the songs are available.

Hello. Okay, wow. There is a lot going on right now. The new album is coming along nicely. I have finished rough mixes of all the tracks. The next step is a bit up in the air at the moment, but I can say that several options are being looked into at the moment. I will write more about them when I can.

Next, I guess it is no secret that mp3.com has been purchased by cnet.com. On Dec. 2nd, everything on mp3.com will be deleted and cnet.com will introduce their version of mp3.com. At the moment, only cnet.com knows what that will entail. In the meantime though, I am not going anywhere. You can still buy Hallowed & Hollow at Darkcell Digital Music and I will work on getting some mp3s up on this site as soon as I can.

Hello. Sorry, I know it has been a while. I have finally finished writing all of the lyrics for the CD. In many ways, it has been the most challenging part to finish so far. I am very happy that it is done, though and can't wait to get started on recording the vocal parts. I will probably start next week sometime. I want to thank everyone who has signed up for the Email Sign-up. I would also like to invite anyone else who wants to, to do so as well. It is pretty quiet right now, being that I am working on the album, but you will occasionally receive emails once there is more to report.
